The Boels Portable Kitchens division supplies temporary kitchen facilities to hospitals, defense forces, the hospitality industry and large companies under renovation, among others. Boels supplies these kitchen setups mainly in the Benelux countries, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Ron Lukassen, account manager at Boels explains:

“These kitchen unit setups obviously need to be supplied with power. Sometimes our customers provide this themselves, more often we are asked to provide this power distribution as well. Then a temporary power distribution box including cabling to the various units must be planned and connected. Since a kitchen layout can vary from 4 units to 60 units, the planning of this is incredibly important.”

There are many companies that use terms like flexible, customer focus, innovative and best service in their slogan and mission statement to convince customers that they are the best. Van Lieshout Elektra applies this in practice, indicates Ron Lukassen of Boels. He shares some examples:

“For a large webshop with a branch in Germany, we installed a container setup of 12 units including a canteen. About 2 weeks before delivery, the customer found out that they could not get materials for the power distribution in time. So we had very little time from quotation to execution and it was only thanks to the flexibility of van Lieshout that this could all be carried out neatly before the handover date.

Another example is a recent project in Belgium. During construction, the customer wanted a unit turned 180° so that the power connection would be about 10 meters further from the distribution box. With one phone call it was arranged that the mechanic from van Lieshout was on site the very next day with a longer cable and could connect the unit. Where other companies first make a quote, which requires an order and so a week passed.”

Service during the rental period is also excellent, Ron Lukassen indicates. If there is a power failure at a customer’s premises, van Lieshout calls the customer immediately so there is no noise in communication. And if it is necessary to fix a malfunction on site, it is always solved at very short notice.
